Face Shape analysis is included as part of the comprehensive Features report from the Maxx Report app, which analyzes 24 distinct facial characteristics using both front-facing and side profile photos. The Face Shape component specifically categorizes your face into one of six classic shapes: oblong, oval, square, round, heart-shaped, or diamond.
The Features report evaluates how your face shape harmonizes with your overall facial features, providing a 1-10 rating and analysis. Additionally, the Glow Up report complements this by analyzing skin quality across different face zones, helping you understand how skin conditions affect the perception of your facial contours.
Understanding your face shape through the Features report is essential for making informed decisions about hairstyles, glasses, beard styles, and makeup techniques. Combined with the Glow Up report's skin analysis, you can create a comprehensive approach to enhancing your facial aesthetics.
Understanding Face Shapes

Oval
Characterized by balanced proportions, an oval face features a length greater than its width, with the forehead slightly broader than the jawline and smooth, flowing curves along the sides.
Round
Distinguished by its circular appearance, a round face showcases equal width and length dimensions, with full cheeks and softly curved contours throughout.
Square
Notable for its angular features, a square face exhibits similar measurements at the forehead and jaw, with pronounced corners and a bold, defined jawline.
Heart-shaped
Distinctive for its romantic silhouette, a heart-shaped face combines a broad forehead and prominent cheekbones that taper down to a delicate, pointed chin.
Diamond
Defined by dramatic angles, a diamond face features striking cheekbones as its widest point, framed by a narrower forehead above and a refined, pointed chin below.
Oblong
Distinguished by its elongated appearance, an oblong face maintains consistent width measurements from forehead to jaw, while featuring a notably greater length than width ratio.
